Thomas "Tommy" Scott Funk, 64, of Roanoke, died Thursday, October 24, 2013. Tommy was a proud Jefferson High School Magician from the graduating class of 1964. He proudly served in the United States Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. Tommy worked in submarine engineering on pier 22. Tommy was retired from Yokohama Tire Corporation and worked afterwards for Fisher Auto parts. He was preceded in death by his father and best friend, Reid Scott Funk. He is survived by his grieving wife, Joyce (Sandy) Shell Funk; daughter, Lorene Funk Accardo; son, Salvador Anthony Accardo, Jr.; one grandson, Salvador Thomas Accardo; and special kitty, "Ben-Ben" all of Roanoke. Tommy also leaves behind two aunts, "Tootsie" and "Ruby", many cousins, neighbors and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Oakey's North Chapel with Dr. Henry Routon officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
