Conway...Holly Lee Allen, age 36, of Pottery Landing Drive, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Holly was born in Florence, a daughter of Troy Ellison and Myrtie Marie Powell Lee. Holly lived a short but full life. She was salutatorian of her 1995 graduating class from Lake City High School. She received her R.N. from Florence-Darlington Technical College and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Francis Marion University in August 2013.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she worked full time as school nurse at Whittemore Park Middle School. Holly also worked part time at Dr. Brian Rabon's pediatric office. She was a faithful follower of Christ and an active member of Jamestown Baptist Church where she served as church pianist and helped with children's choirs. Her most incredible achievement and favorite job was loving and cherishing her two beautiful, precious girls, Rachel Marie and Rylee. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Warren E. Lee and her maternal grandparents, Rev. James and Margarette Powell.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Coward, SC are, her husband, Blake A. Allen, two daughters, Rachel Marie Allen and Rylee Ashlyn Allen, a sister, Dr. Misty Lee and her husband, Mark Klein of Florence, and her paternal grandmother, Elma Lee of Coward.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Jamestown Baptist Church with Rev. Lynn Peters, Rev. Sherwood Lee, Rev. Larry Allen, Rev. Robbin King and Dean Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
