My great grandfather R.N. Kidd lived at the time of his death with my great grandmother Sarah in East Bernstadt, Kentucky in the house where they lived for several years and raised their kids. They had six children (one being born dead).
By trade he owned and operated a small grocery store and later converted it into a chain stretching from London KY to just north of Knoxville Tenn that he co-owned with his two sons (my grandfather Ernest his brother Clarence).
From what my grandfather and great grandmother told me, he had a very laid back personality and was soft spoken.
He passed at home after a long and painful illness - stomach cancer.
