Robert A. Lutzke, 83, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Tuesday morning, August 30, 2005 at Dorchester Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born January 11, 1922 in Milwaukee, son of the late Arthur and Viola (Helm) Lutzke. After graduating from Milwaukee Boys Technical High School in 1941, Bob served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII from October 13, 1942 until his discharge on November 9, 1945. On July 6, 1946 he married Ruth (Quast) Helm at Zebaoth Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Together they enjoyed traveling, square-dancing, and spending time with their dogs, Leslie and Herman. Bob was employed with Culter Hammer in Milwaukee until his retirement in 1984. Shortly after, Bob and Ruth moved to Sturgeon Bay where he was a member of VFW Post 3088.

Survivors include one sister, Beverly (William) Schepp of Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florence Ader; and brother, Gordon Lutzke.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Darrick Kolterjahn, officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #3088. Interment will be made in Glen Oaks Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob's memory to St. Peters Lutheran Church.

Huehns Funeral Home of Sturgeon Bay is in charge of arrangements.
