MRS. ANNIE GIVENS, AGED VICTORIAN, DIED EARLY TODAY
Mrs. Annie Givens, 71, beloved and highly esteemed citizen of Victoria for the past 19 years, died at 2 o'clock this morning at the DeTar Hospital following an illness of only a short time. Death was due to flu-pneumonia. Mrs. Givens resided at 103 South Third Street.
Mrs. Givens was a native of Illinois. She is survived by a son, Albert D. Givens of Oklahoma City, Okla., an adopted daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Mae Workman of Houston and one niece, Mrs. Bell Hazel of Guthrie, Okla.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Goldman-Water Chapel with interment in the Evergreen Cemetery. Due to the illness of Rev. A.J. Carson, Baptist minister, Rev. C. R. Brewster of the First Methodist Church will officiate.
