Stricken After Sudden Illness - Funeral Sunday Afternoon
Frank J. Brown, 53, of 3 Cleveland Street, a mail carrier for many years, died Friday afternoon in the Cortland County Hospital after a sudden illness.
Son of Jason E. and Minnie Hoyt Brown, he was born in Cortland April 16, 1893.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War I and served in the Navy.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Beeman Brown; his mother, Mrs. Jason E. Brown; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Jackson and Mrs. William McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Beard Memorial Home. Rev. Ralph E. Hovencamp will officiate. Interment will be In Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening between 7:30 and 8:30.
