Died not long after celebrating her 90th birthday. She married Douglas C. White in 1940 and while living in North Hollywood, Van Nuys and eventually Burbank, raised three daughters and a son. Lottie attended Cal State Northridge after her youngest daughter started kindergarten and graduated in 1968 with a BA in English. She was an avid reader, a talented seamstress and a dedicated homemaker. After Doug's retirement, Lottie and Doug moved to Shasta Lake where they built a home and lived until Doug's death in 1997. In 1999, Lottie moved to Santa Barbara to be near her children. She quickly became involved in the community and made new friends - taking writing classes, square dancing and playing bridge. Writing was her passion; she was a talented writer. She achieved her goals of writing a work of fiction and a memoir of her life, along with many short stories and poems. Lottie met the second love of her life - Brian Silsbury - in 2004. Lottie is survived by her four children: Marilyn (Mel Manalis) of Santa Barbara, Joanne Douglas of Portland, OR, Kevin (Pegeen) of Santa Barbara and Terri (Mark Wilson) of Murphys, CA.
