David Edgar Mobley, age 60 of Piedmont, passed away Friday, March 18th at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Hooper officiating; burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday. Pallbearers include Dakota Bright, Cole Bright, Josh Bright, Michael Sprayberry, Roscoe Reddish, Ricky Morris, Duane Nicholson, Jamie Crook. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Union Boys Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Judy Bright Mobley; son, Shane (Lisa) Mobley of Centre; daughters, Christy Mobley of Piedmont and Casondra (Michael)Sprayberry of Piedmont; sisters, Carolyn (Richard) Morris of Centre, Rebecca (Lynn) Crook of Piedmont, Barbara (Gladd)Thomas of Cumming, GA and Peggy (David) Maddox of Cedartown, GA; 7 grandchildren, Abby & Jay Mobley, Hanna Stanford, Destiny Reddish, Daniel Mobley, Jacob Herring and Haylie Herring; several nieces & nephews. Mr. Mobley was a native of Calhoun County, the son of the late Carl Edgar and Ida White Mobley, was a supervisor at Hon Industries and was a member of Union Congregational Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund or the family will accept flowers.
