Steven Berl Garrett of Commerce, OK passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at his home. Steve was 55 years old. He was born on October 22, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma to James K. Garrett and Patty I. (Kveum) Garrett.

He worked for 33 years at Umicore Optical Materials formally known as Eagle-Picher. He graduated from Picher-Cardin Schools in 1975. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Miami and the Davis Sunday School Class. He is preceded in death by his father James, his uncle & aunt Berl and Billie Garrett and niece Jennifer Bryan Judd.

Steve was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved God and lived his life serving the Lord and others. His hobbies included time on his motorcycle, reading his Bible and time with his kids, grandkids and family. He was an avid superman fan and the world's best papa superman. He will leave a void in the lives of his family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service for Steven Berl Garrett will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Miami. He will be buried at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. (Paul Thomas)
