Florist, Dies
Of Heart Attack
BARKER - William E. Spafford, 76, of 1721 Pallister Ave., a wholesale florist here for 40 years died Saturday morning (July 7, 1962) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home Friday.
Born in the Town of Hartland, he followed his father, James Spafford, in the greenhouse business. Mr. Spafford specialized in chrysanthemums.
He was a member of Somerset Lodge No. 639 F&AM and the Odd Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Steiss Spafford; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Trinder of Barker and Mrs. Jean Perry of Brize Norton Air Force Base, England; one stepsister, Miss Aurelia Temple of Barker; four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 at the Hood Funeral Home, 1708 Pallister Ave., where services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2. A Masonic service will be held tonight at 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
