CHENEY-Theodore Lee Bahe passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Funeral service will be Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Kiowa. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.

Ted was born on April 27, 1939 to Edwin and Lydia Most Bahe in Norfolk, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne. He attended school at H.H.Hahn Campus School, on the campus of Wayne State Teachers College for 13 years and Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, Nebraska for 4 years. During that time he graduated college with a BFA Ed degree in 1961. He enjoyed the banking business for 39 years in Nebraska, Oklahoma and Kansas and stayed involved with his insurance agency for 50 years, as able, until his death. His hobbies included reading and music, playing the French horn, violin, piano and organ. He also played the piano and organ for the churches he attended in Nebraska and Kansas for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Ella Bahe of Davenport, Nebraska, his parents; wife, Bonnie Faye (Thurman); brother, Thomas Bahe. Following Bonnies death, he moved from Wichita to live in Cheney.

He is survived by his first wife, Maralee (Hadke) Bahe and their three children; Leanne J. Plankenhorn and husband, Ronnie of Pink Hill, North Carolina,Bret R. Bahe and wife, Shawn and their son, Aydan C. Bahe of Pepperell, Massachusetts, Pamela J. Veach and her children; Hayden C. Veach, Cameron J. Veach, Quinn M. Veach and Taylor L. Veach; Pamelas fiancé, Michael D. Day with his three daughters, Miranda, Kaitlyn and Allison Day and granddaughter, Aubree all of Cheney, Kansas. From his marriage to Bonnie Faye Stark on November 27, 1987are two sons, Thomas Stark and his two daughters; Kaitlyn L. Stark and Kamryn R. Stark and Brian Stark; sister in law, Mary J. Bahe, nephew, Stephen Bahe and nieces, Debra Pastor and Patrice Bahe of Burbank, California.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ.
