LISA ANN DURHAM PARSONS

JULY 22, 1959 - FEBRUARY 13, 1998


Lisa Ann Durham was born in Dallas, Texas on July 22, 1959. She was adopted as a new born baby by Elbert Sidney "Speedy" and Kathleen Annette Actkinson Durham of Arlington, Texas. She was raised like "an only child" until David was adopted in March, 1966 shortly after the Durham's lost a son that was born stillborn in Jan, 1966. The Durham's only natural child, Amy, was born in April, 1970. Tracy. a resident of The Methodist Children's home in Waco, came for just a visit in the Durham household in 1978 when he was age 12. He and David were the same age. Tracy liked living with the Durham family so much that he ask if he could live with them.


The blended family were all actively involved members of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in Arlington. They were a family that shared a lot of love for each other.


Lisa was acknowledged as the family "Animal Nut." She won lots of "Horse Show Awards." Lisa loved horses. She was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes as a teenager. Lisa died from complications of diabetes In Murphy, Texas on Feb 13, 1998 at age 38. She married Bruce N. Parsons on April 22, 1997.


Lisa was preceded by death of her mother, Kathleen, in 1989. She was survived by her husband, Bruce Parsons; her father, Speedy Durham; brothers, David Durham and Tracy McBride; and sister. Amy Carson and two nephews Taylor & Caleb Carson.
