Daughter of David Ralya and Rebecca Sarah (Gardner) Ralya. Mary was never married, however she had at least two or three children. One of these children was Mark Morris (1830-1914) who was her child with Hugh Morris. (Hugh also had at least two children with Mary's sister, Cassiah Nancy Ralya.) Mary lived for several years with her sister, Catherine (Ralya) Strayer and her nephew, Lorenzo Dow Strayer. She died of "old age and lung fever" (probably pneumonia) in a "poor house" in Sadsbury, Crawford, Pennsylvania. Although her burial place is unknown, it is believed she may have been buried with others who died at the poor house or near her parents, whose burial place is in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
