EMMETT — Services for Horace C. Anderson, 76, Emmett, who died Friday afternoon at an Emmett hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Beatty Chapel by the Rev. Mervyn Shay of the Emmett Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Council Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 5, 1890, in Council. He lived there until moving to Indian Valley in 1943. He came to Emmett in 1959 and had lived here since. Mr. Anderson worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Council and farmed at Indian Valley. He married May E. Hughs in 1935 at Council.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alice Miller of Alderwood Manor, Wash.; two step-sons, Robert Johanntoberns of Council and Sgt. 1/C Marvin Johanntoberns, with the 39th Infantry Division in Vietnam; two step-daughters, Mrs. Jennie Prowitz of Emmett and Mrs. Mollie Marcum of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Oliver Anderson of Delta, Colo.; four sisters, Millie High of Nampa, Jessie Turnipseed of Weiser, Nealy Maybee of Boise and Elsie Missman of Long Beach, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
