Brian Joseph Rickard, 30, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, as a result of a vehicle/train accident. He was born in Terre Haute, on Dec. 17, 1982, to Darryl Wayne Rickard and Valerie Jo Gladden Rickard.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew Wayne Rickard and Dawson Lee Rickard; and his mother, Valerie Rickard Gladden. Also surviving is one brother, Kevin Rickard; and two sisters, Michelle Lee and Renee Rickard. Other survivors include his stepmother, Kathryn Rickard; and former wife, Tisha Rickard. He was preceded in death by his father, Darryl Wayne Rickard.
Brian attended Blackhawk Community Church, and was an avid hunter and gamer. He also was a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, where he played varsity basketball.
Funeral services will be in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until time of services Monday.
