A retired carpenter, Mr. Cotter was a native of Alabama. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Mayfield.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Billie Cotter, Memphis, Mrs. Judy Kelly, Livingston County, Mrs. Joyce Vance, Wickliffe, and Mrs. Iris Tribble, Memphis; five brothers, Matthew, Billy and Ortiz Cotter, all of Ozark, Ala., Ross and Gus Cotter, both of Enterprise, Ala.; and a sister, Mrs. Reba Cotton, Ozark; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Roth Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tildon Garner and the Rev. James McChristian officiating.
Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell.
