Mrs. Celia Soucie, 79, died Sunday morning at 7 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Kerouac of Manteno rural route 2.
Funeral services will be held at 10 O'clock Wednesday morning in St. Joseph Church in Manteno and interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. She was born in Bourbonnais on June 17, 1863 and lived her entire life in this community.
Her husband Treffle preceded her in death 14 months ago. She was a member of St. Anne sodality and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. The sodality will meet Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the Kerouac home to recite the rosary.
Surviving besides the daughter mentioned above, are children Mrs. Laura Ritter, Mrs. Orel Blanchette and Walter Soucie of Manteno, Leo Soucie, Louis Soucie of Manteno and Mrs. Joseph Condon of Richmond, 35 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, sister Mrs. Henry Langlois of Manteno and brothers Zephire Bissonette of Windsor, Canada and Henry and Adolphus Bissonette of Kankakee.
The body was removed from the Gordon Funeral Home this afternoon to the residence where friends may call.
