Mr. Brady, 51, after 2 years of continued ill-health and months confinement to his bed, of acute bronchitis. Born in DC attended private school in South Washington, taught by Miss Isabelle Wimsatt, afterward entered Gonzaga College. He left college in 1867 and took up the study of architecture and served a four-year course. He associated himself with a number of well known builders with whom he remained for years until 1883 when he was appointed First Assistant Inspector of Buildings. In 1894 he was appointed Inspector of Buildings. His conscientious zeal, marked ability and personal qualifications earned him the trust and commendation of his superior officers and the citizens of the District.

He was connected to several buildings associations and a member of the valuation committee, prominent member of the Carroll Institute and the Knights of Columbus.
