Funeral Service for William Beers Held on Thursday
Funeral services for William H. Beers, 52, of R.D. 1 Kennedy were held last Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Lance Zavitz of Ellington officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington.
Mr. Beers died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1967 at Jamestown General Hospital.
He was born in Randolph Sept. 11, 1915, the son of Herman W. and Hester McElwain Beers.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 17 of Buffalo and was employed in construction work in that area. He also was a member of Henry Mosher Post, American Legion.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Hester Beers of Falconer and two brothers, Edward and Richard Beers of Falconer. His father, Herman Beers, died in 1955. A sister, Mrs. Eleanor Von Volen, died in 1954.
