Lucille Moore, age 89, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1968, and formerly of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at a local hospital. She was a homemaker who had also worked for the United States Civil Service.

Lucille May Nelson was born on March 6, 1924 in Honey Creek, Iowa to the late Alfred and Edna (Olson) Nelson. She was a graduate of Missouri Valley High School and was a teacher in her early years. She married James H. Moore on February 10, 1951 in Omaha, Nebraska. James passed away in 2009.

Lucille was a member of Pikes Peak Christian Church and actively involved with the "PALS" (Praising and Loving Seniors). She enjoyed studying the King James Bible, reading, crossword puzzles, needlepoint, crocheting, and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and their families. She will be best remembered for her sense of humor, love of family, and laughter. This woman of faith had a deep devotion to God.

She is survived by her daughter: Janice Wulf of Colorado Springs; her daughter-in-law: Nancy Svenson Moore of Dayton, Ohio; and 5 wonderful grandchildren: Adam Wulf, Kathryn Wulf, Bridget Reibeling, Mary Moore, and Carolyn Moore. She has one great-grandson: Johnathyn Wulf.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two sons, James Thomas Moore, who died in 2011; and Randell G. Moore who died in 2004. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Helen Guill and two brothers: Donald and Roger Nelson.
