Patricia "Pat" Phillips Mays age 74, of Oneida passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at her home. Born in Scott County, Tennessee on January 29, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Obelee "Tobe" and Lona Rosser Phillips and Roscoe and Ruby Kidd (who raised her). Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by father and mother in law, Bill and Agnes Mays; one brother, Jack Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sue Brooks. Pat is survived by her husband, Howard Kenny Mays; children, Tobey Mays and wife Janet, Kenia Bowling and husband Mark and Patrick Mays and wife Vickie; grandchildren, Maci Mays, Colbey, Nate and Aaron Bowling, Hogan and Emily Mays; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Tom Stanley and wife Dorothy; niece, Henrietta Upchurch and husband Roger; nephews, Jody Brooks and Steven Stanley; special friends, Rella Burchfield, Dot Harris Johnson and Virginia Bilbrey; Her dedicated family of employees at Tobe's Motel and Restaurant. She also leaves other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the Mays family on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee and Dr. Doug White officiating. Interment will follow in the Carson Memorial Park.
