Longtime Physician in Quincy
Dr. Leon G. JACOBS, a physician who maintained a family practice for more than 28 years, died Tuesday in his home in Quincy. He was 87.
Dr. JACOBS was born in Bayonne, New Jersey. He graduated from Georgetown University Medical School.
In addition to practicing in Quincy from 1947 until 1975, he was affiliated with Quincy Hospital and the Quincy Health Center, and was employed by the adjudication board of the Veterans Administration in Boston from 1975 to 1994.
He leaves his wife, Mildred E. (Mael); two daughters, Miriam S. GREENSPAN of Marshfield and LeeAnne of Quincy; a son, Steven A. of Marshfield; and a granddaughter. Burial was in Sharon Memorial Park.
