Mrs. Ella E. Miller, 83, of Schellsburg RD, died Sunday, September 1, 1974, at Windber Hospital. She was born November 23, 1890, in Bedford County, the daughter of the late Othaniel and Rebecca (Lape) Felix. She was married to the former Earl Miller who died in 1959. One infant son, three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Mrs. Miller is survived by the following children: Vera, wife of Harry Potts, Schellsburg RD; Mrs. Bernadine Miller, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Alverta, wife of Carl Foreback, Dry Run; Virginia, wife of John Winegardner, Schellsburg RD; Gladys wife of Roy Crithton, Johnstown; Doris, wife of James Snively, Duncansville; Dixie, wife of John Wilson, Johnstown; and Richard, married to the former Evelyn Benna, Johnstown. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one brother, Dewey Felix, New Paris RD, and one sister, Rosie, wife of Charles Custer, Schellsburg RD. Mrs. Miller was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Helixville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 4, at 11 a.m. from the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, with the Rev. Ralph Landis officiating. Burial was in the Schellsburg Cemetery.
