Anton was 20 years old when he died. He is the son of my great great grandfather, Andrias or Andrew Diemert as confirmed on the gravestone. His mother, Barbara This is the headstone of Andrias Andrew Diemert's first wife, Barbara Heubschaverlen (as on the stone), Hubscherwerlen or Hubscherwerlin in other spellings is also buried in the cemetery. She died in 1866 as confirmed by her headstone. Andrias remarried shortly after her death to a woman named Rosalia Barbara Biesinger. They left Canada after the death of his son and young daughter in a fire in 1870. The deaths can be confirmed in the Canadian death records and are side by side in April of 1870. Andrias and his remaining family with the exception of his daughter Elizabeth moved to Georgetown, Minnesota where Andrias worked for the Hudson Bay Company and later as a farmer. Elizabeth, aged 14, married Herman Braun, aged 23, in 1868 and remained in Canada.
