Geraldine M. Mann, 71, of Brookfield, beloved wife of Donald Mann, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Friday, October 18th. She was born in Bridgeport on March 3, 1942, daughter of the late Harold D and Helen A. (Plavecky) Sayles.
Mrs. Mann was a devoted mother who lovingly maintained the family home. She enjoyed reading, baking, providing childcare for others, and her cats. She had a giving heart, and was the pillar of strength for the family.
In addition to her cherished husband of 54 years, Donald, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Christine Rogerson and her husband, James of Texas; her sons, Edward Mann and his wife, Ivone of Danbury, Dennis Mann of New Milford, and Stephen Mann of Brookfield; her five grandchildren, John Rogerson, Jennifer Wainscott, Jacob Rogerson, James Rogerson III, Nicolle Rodriguez; and her two great grandchildren, John Rogerson, Jr. and Memphis Wainscott. She is also survived by her two brothers, Thomas and Robert Sayles; her sister, Marilynn Mandel; as well as her niece and many friends.
She was predeceased by her two sons, James and Donald Mann, Jr; her brother, David Sayles; and her sister, Michaeleen Sayles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 25th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Central Cemetery, Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
