He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kennedy Vandergraff; his son, Robert E. (Sheila) Vandergraff II; three grandchildren, Lindsey McDonald, Justin Vandergraff and Nathan Vandergraff; one great-grandchild, Hailey McDonald; four step-children, Terri Kennedy, Jayne Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy and Juli Steinocher; two step-grandchildren and two great step-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was Vice President of Goris Tire Company Marine Division Specialist.
