J. T. Roe who was accidentally injured night before last when he fell from a moving automobile on the Fort Worth Cleburne road, died this morning at about 9 o’clock from concussion of the brain, the result of the fall.
Mr. Roe did not regain consciousness from the time of the accident, and passed away without recognition of his surroundings or family.
He is survived by his wife and five children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Roe of Washington Avenue, this city, five brothers, Will, Henry, Richard and Edd of Falls Creek, and Charlie Roe, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and two sisters, Misses Anna and Lydia Roe.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock from the Methodist Church at Falls Creek. There will be no services here. Prof. G. L. Gordon of the Holiness Church will have charge of the services.
Internment will take place at Falls Creek. The deceased was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Roe was a highly respected and well liked citizen of Cleburne, whose numerous friends here will regret his untimely demise. He was formerly a member of the city force, and was a citizen of splendid standing. The Enterprise joins with the entire community in extending deepest sympathy to those bereaved by this accident and wishes for them the consolation of the Father.
