Annie Lillian Benton was born in Millsite, Shelby County, Alabama. She was the 7th of 11 children of Minnie Dora Champion and William Monroe Benton. She married Henry Lee Jordan on the 23rd of January 1923 in Turner, Shelby, Alabama. They had 4 children: Reba, George, Elouise, and Edward. Henry Jordan
was murdered while Annie was pregnant with Henry Edward Jordan. In 1930 she was living in Sandy, Utah with her brother Rufus and his family.

Annie married James Wesley Brock on the 20th December 1935 in Cross County, Arkansas. They had 2 children, Karen Marcella and James Irwin Brock. Annie died on the 26 January 1952 in Pumpkin Bend, Arkansas and is buried in an unmarked grave! (Information on gravesite from: Patsy Alexander Strode, a granddaughter)
