Ella Beatrice Terry, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1946 to William and Edna Mae Clardy. She joined Memorial Baptist Church at an early age, where she served on the usher board. Ella retired from Whirlpool Corporation in May of 2009 after 40 years of service. Ella loved to spend time with her family, bowling, playing cards, and shopping.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents and by her ex-husband, Alfonsa "Big Al" Terry. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her children, "the twins" Stacey and Tracey (Kelly), Shai, Javon (Elyse) and Ed (LaToyia), all of Evansville; her brothers, Odell (Juliette) Clardy of Newburgh, Frank (Judy) Clardy of Indianapolis, and Marshall (Karen) Clardy of Evansville; sisters, Sarah Clardy and Garnetta (James) Esters, all of Evansville; brothers and sisters in law, Gaylon Terry, Scotty Wynn, Joe Wynn, Jr., Jodie Franklin, Brenda Carroll, and Anita Wynn, all of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren, Hiram (Kendra) Hackner, VeChyra Terry, C'aira Dillard, Xayvion Terry-Robinson, and Aiden Terry; and great-grandchild, Aaliyah Hackner; and special friend, Mr. James Kelly.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 12:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Deaconess Hospice for the love and care they gave to Ella.
