Mr. Fore retired from GE after 45 years of service, during that whole time, he never had a day in which he did not look forward to going to work. He loved to work in the yard, had a green thumb, and the ability to fix or build almost anything.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia "Pat" Fore, daughter; Jayme Ameece Duerk and her husband, Gregory, of Myrtle Beach, son; Christopher James Fore, of Roanoke, Three grandsons: Gregory Corbin Duerk, William Carson Duerk, and Christian Hayne Duerk.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Oakey's South Chapel, Dr. Kevin B. Meadows and Rev. Charles B. Krause will officiate. Committal service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Highland Burial Park in Danville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their care.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, at Oakey's South Chapel.
