Mark Anthony Bowles, 56, of Denton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Denton Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bowles was born on October 26, 1956 in Denton to Dennis and Grace (Littrell) Bowles. He graduated from Era High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Practical Theology from Howard Payne University. Coach Bowles retired as head football coach and Athletic Director at Liberty Christian School in 2009 after 26 seasons and 3 state championships with the Warriors. Mark was credited for starting the school's high school football program from scratch, which included constructing the football field out of an old junk yard with his bare hands. Mark is survived by his children Brittany Bowles of San Francisco, CA; Matthew and his wife Lindy Bowles of Denton, Zak and his wife Amy Bowles of Grapevine and their mother Patrice (Noga) Bowles of Denton; one granddaughter, Charlie Layne Bowles of Denton; sisters, Sue Seibold of Little Elm, Shirlene Wright of Sanger, Sally Davidson of Lorenzo, Mary Bowles of Denton; brothers, Steve Bowles of Era, Dennis L. Bowles of Sanger, Harold Bowles of Era; numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Commons area at Liberty Christian School, 1301 U.S. 377, Argyle, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St., Denton, TX. Interment will follow at Cooper Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Matt Bowles, Zak Bowles, Greg Price, Rick Gailey, Johnny Isom, Trent Vest, Zach Vest, Darren Chrane. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Bowles, Dennis L.
