Sammy Ray Kemp, age 69 of Frisco, Texas passed away February 29, 2004 in Dallas, Texas.
Sam was born October 26, 1934 in Olney, Texas to Earl Samuel and Beatrice (Grey) Kemp. He married Judy Stewart on September 4, 1965 and together, they had four children.
Sam was the owner of Kemps Laundry and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Kemp, Frisco, Texas; son, Earl Kemp and wife, Susan, Grand Prairie,Texas; daughter, Pamela Daneise Kemp Bolin and husband, Paul, Sherman, Texas; son, Gary Webster Kemp, Palm Springs, California; and son, Sammy Ray Kemp Jr., Frisco, Texas.
Sammy is also survived by his grandchildren: Travis William Southerland, Sherman, Texas; Mattilynn Grace Bolin, Sherman, Texas;Kayla Anne Kemp, Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters: Pearlene Sappington of Gainesville, Texas; and
Earlene Robinson of Gainesville, Texas; as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
Family visitation was held Tuesday, March 2, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Frisco. Funeral Services were held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles Van Bebber officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
