Elizabeth P. Riggs was born in Miami, FL on February 9, 1916 and passed away in Merced, CA on March 1, 2012 at the age of 96.
Elizabeth (Betty) was an active member of the community for 34 years and served as an official in the Garden Club, Women's Club, AARP, Symphony League, and her wonderful B/D "Birthday" Group. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband's; Richard W. Heintz Sr. and Armand Riggs and grandchildren; Lauren Elizabeth and Lawrence (Larry) Carl Beigel.
Betty is survived by her children, Wendy Heintz-Gregory and Richard W. Heintz Jr.; grandchildren, Lynda D. Barros and LeAnne Scott; great grandchildren, Richard Heintz III, Matthew A. Madigan, and Cassius Camus; great great granddaughter, Kyleigh E. Madigan; stepchildren, Elaine and Ron Riggs and Delores and Bud Riggs; and the entire Riggs family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.
at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA.
