Cody was born on October 19, 1981, in Breckenridge, MN, to Keith and Connie (Anderson) Duncan. Cody lived on the farm in Wyndmere, ND, until age 1. Cody and his family then moved to Bismarck, ND, where he was raised and educated. After graduating from Bismarck High School, he went on to the College of Oceaneering in Los Angeles, CA. He moved to Breaux Bridge, LA, where he started his career as an underwater welder diver and met Haley. The couple then moved to La Fayette, LA, where they were married and had their daughter, Joey. Later they moved to Pass Christian, MS, where he continued his career in the Gulf of Mexico up to the time of his death. He always wanted to see the ocean growing up, so this is the reason Cody loved his line of work.
Cody grew up with many close friends in Bismarck, whom he kept very close to his heart even after he moved away for college and his career. Cody enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors- hunting, fishing, camping and just enjoying life! He loved every moment he shared with his daughter Joey who was Daddy's little girl. He also looked forward to spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Irene Duncan and Clarence and Loretta Anderson; and his uncles, Sherwynn and Larry Duncan.
