Theresa graduated from Mathis High School in 1941, and on January 31, 1942, she married William Dee Pugh. They moved to the farm that she called home in September of 1942. On April 21, 1979, William Dee passed away but she spent the rest of her life on the farm.
Theresa and Dee had five children. She is survived by Peggy (Freddy) Hillje of Cotulla, TX, Cathy (John) Howard of Agua Dulce, TX, Bill (Diana) Pugh of Kingsville, TX, Ray (Roz) Pugh of Spicewood, TX, and Fay Brett of Hull, TX. She was later blessed by 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Theresa will be remembered for her love for her family, the love of her faith and her quick wit. She never missed a good game of cards, a chance to dance or a moment with her family. She showed her love and pride with cards for every occasion, her hearty meals and her willingness to talk to anyone who would listen about her family.
To the numerous family members (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews), she was Mamma, Nana and Granny T. There is no doubt that she will be greatly missed.
The Rosary to celebrate Theresa's life was held May 8, 2019 at the Pugh Farm. The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. George Catholic Church in George West, Texas on May 9, 2018.
