Mr. Baker was born Oct. 6, 1961, at Pittsburg, Kan., the son of Larry and Katherine Verga Baker. Larry was employed at Eagle Picher in Pittsburg. He was raised in Mulberry and graduated from Northeast High School in Arma in 1979. He lived in Crawford County for life. He served in the National Guard. He maried Mary White on March 30, 1993, at Girard, Kan. Mary survives in Pittsburg. Additional survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Hagan of Pittsburg and Chelsea Baker of Pittsburg; a son, Brandon Baker of Pittsburg; a sister, Kimberly Meeks of Mulberry; four brothers, David Proctor of Burgess, Mo., Terry Baker of Mulberry, Kenneth Baker of Akron, Ohio, and Gregory Baker of Mulberry; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with Larry Hagan officiating. Burial will be at the Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bedene Chapel in Arma. The family suggests memorials to Angels Among Us. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, KS 66712.
