HONEA PATH - Martha Ann Acker McHugh , 74, of 1937 Abercrombie Road died Oct. 19, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Virginia Watson Acker. She was an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and WMU and was a member of Gideon International Auxiliary.
Surviving are son, Scott McHugh and wife Karla of Buford, Ga.; brother, Clifton Acker and wife Jean of Honea Path; sister, Barbara Treadwell and husband Billy of Honea Path; grandchildren, Brian McHugh , Jennifer Baker and husband Andrew; nephews, Barry and Anthony Treadwell and Craig Acker; nieces, Ginger Alewine and Renee Craddock; and special best friends, Bud and Linda Pierce of Honea Path. She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Edward McHugh.
Services were conducted Oct. 21 at Shady Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Daryle Hawthorne. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Gideon International, PO Box 733 Belton, SC 29627. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
