ASHFORD. . .Daniel Griggs Ingram, a resident of Ashford, formerly of Abbeville, died Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was 35.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in the Griggs-Ingram Family Cemetery, near Abbeville, with Minister Bobby Gayton officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the sanctuary of the Watermark Church in Ashford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Watermark Church Building Fund, 103 Elmer Road, Ashford, AL. 36312.

Daniel Ingram was a native of Abbeville and moved to Ashford with his family as a child. He was a 1996 graduate of Ashford High School. In 2001, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. Upon completion of Coast Guard Basic Training, Daniel was honored to serve as Chaplain's Assistant. After basic training, he served on the Cutter Kennebec in Virginia and completed firefighter training and was promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was later transferred to Coast Guard Station, Destin, Florida. After his Coast Guard duty, Daniel attended Troy University-Dothan. He formerly owned and operated Eagle Bonding Company in Auburn, and served as the manager of AAA Investigations and Recovery LLC in Abbeville. Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, John Timothy Ingram, and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Miller Shelley.
