Mr Burns was the son of Ethel Mae Clark & Homer Riley Burns. On 2 May 1953 he married Leta Hickman. Also surviving are daughter Gayla Treadwell w/husband Donnie; siblings: Evelyn Sullivan, Mayo Rose w/husband Eugene, Rachel Ash w/husband Raymond, & Bob w/wife Ardith; grandsons Buzz & Trey Treadwell plus grgrandson Zane Treadwell.
Mr Burns joined the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked on several Dam sites for the Corp of Engineers for several years. He retired as a dairy farmer. He enjoyed riding horses & was a member of the Barry County Sheriff's Posse´ for many years. For 15 years he served on the Southwest School Board. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, mowing & he was a real 'duct tape engineer'. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.
