Arlis Eugene Jones, 87, of Sallisaw died on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, in Tulsa. He was born on Oct. 22, 1925, in Broken Arrow the son of A.W. and Nola Jones. Arlis served as an Army Infantryman in World War II from 1943-1945 in Europe. He was employed as a journeyman millwright, working for Hughes Tools, Lockheed, Daniels Construction and other various construction companies, focused on new construction and repair of paper mills and electric generation plants. He retired to Sallisaw in 1990 and attended Roland Assembly of God Church. Survivors are one daughter, Sharran Moon of Redding, Calif.; three stepsons, Dwight and David Graham of Sallisaw and Dean Graham of Natural Dam, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Sandy Smith of Sallisaw; three grandsons, Jeffrey Moon and daughter, Natasha, Randy Moon and wife, Brenda of Lucerne, Calif. and Jason Jones, and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two brothers, Dean Murphy Jones of Broken Arrow; and special friend, Linda Cox of Sallisaw. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Pauline Gipson; one son, Arlis Robbie Jones; four brothers, Cleo, Everitt, Ernest and Ray Jones; six sisters, Flossie Bagwell, Gladys Clay, Margie Williams, Sarah Jane Jones, Janetta West and Wilma Watts; and his wife of 27 years, Mary Lou Jones. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Reese Pilkington, Beau Forehand, Scotty Scott, Ronnie Woodward, Dan Ollie, Eddie Joe Goss and State
