Jan Leanice Martin, age 52, of Texarkana, Texas died October 20, 2013, at her residence.

Ms. Martin was born July 29, 1961, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Rogers High School and a 1983 graduate of the University of Arkansas. She worked as a School Teacher in Rogers, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Texarkana and attended Opportunities Inc.

She is survived by her parents Jerry and Janice Martin of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law Jo M. and Kenny Bennett and their children Riley and Parker; Jaci M. and Mike Merrett and their children Hayden and Ali Grace; several aunts; uncles and cousins and many special friends.

The family would like to thank her special care givers Rubie Stewart, Judy Gaeto, Verlene Gipson, Brenda Lightsey; the staff of Health Back, and Opporitunites Inc.

Services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Texarkana, Atrium with Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield, Arkansas under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
