On June 29, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, she married Richard Bryant and they shared a very special bond for 66 years of marriage. She was a Real Estate Broker for over 45 years. Together with her husband, they owned Bryant Realty. She was active in many community and social organizations, including being the past president of Jaycettes, Cooperative Service League, Metropolitan Women's Club, and volunteered at Ft. Hamilton Hospital and Westover Retirement Community. She enjoyed entertaining, traveling, playing bridge and tennis, and especially enjoyed the Couples Club, which Ida and Dick were a part of for over fifty years. Her greatest passion was her family, who she loved cooking Italian dinners for at the infamous family get-togethers.
She is survived by
her husband, Richard Bryant;
four children, Terry (T.C.) Bryant, Randy (Christine) Bryant, Denise (Rusty) Huff and Danette (Ronald) VanWinkle;
seven grandchildren, Scott Bryant and Juliet Sipniewski, William and Sophie Bryant, Gina Laflin and Ashley Huff, Sean VanWinkle;
six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by eight siblings;
lifetime friend, Alvirta Cardwell.
