LANCASTER, Minn. - Lilly M. Wilebski, 78, Lancaster, died at the Kittson Memorial Healthcare Hospital in Hallock, Saturday, June 4, 2005.
Lilly Marie Swanson was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Minneapolis, the daughter of John and Elsa (Lindeman) Swanson. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School in 1945.
On April 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Walter Wilebski at Minneapolis. Lilly worked for Tension Envelope Company in Minneapolis for 20 years and retired in 1970. Lilly and Walter moved to Lancaster that same year and farmed there until 1989. Walter died Dec. 10, 1993. Lilly was a member of the Lancaster American Legion Auxiliary.
Family members include a son, Dennis (Doris), Lancaster; a daughter, Susan Osman, Lancaster; four grandchildren, Brian, Tami, Trendy and Herb; five great grandchildren; a sister, Doris (Roger) Nelson, Paris, Texas; and three brothers, Roland (Betty), Hot Springs, Ark., Ralph (Delores), Motley, and Roy (Ginger), Park Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, John.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 8, 2005 10 a.m. in the Sion Lutheran Church, Lancaster. Interment was in the Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Losch, presided. Dianne Rice was organist and Galen Nordin, soloist.
Pallbearers were Frank Wilebski, Larry Wilebski, Joey Wilebski, Mike Swanson, Fred Wilebski and Tom Wilebski.
The Adamson-Austin-Hughes Funeral Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
