Death for the third time since the year 1886 has dawned upon us has entered our family circle. Father and sister, lastly a dear nephew, (grandson of the late Zenas Doty,) have been removed from us.
Zenas H. Doty left his home Dec. 2nd, and by rail wended his way to San Francisco. On the 16th he sailed in the ill-fated Atlantic, at 1 P. M. On the 17th, at 2:30 A. M., he met his fate and was one of the twenty-five that were lost. On the morning of the 18th the news reached his friends that he was no more. He left his wife and friends with bright anticipation of returning again to them in one short year. In the bloom of youth he was cut down. He was all that was noble and good, and his loss is greatly felt. His friends and acquaintances, which were many, mourn his loss. May God support and sustain the bereaved, and heal the wounds of inroads of death have made by the sudden removal of this loved one.
