POCOMOKE
— Ellen M. Redden of Pocomoke died on Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, at the Genesis in Salisbury. She was 88.

Born on June 8, 1910 in Pocomoke, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary Aydelotte.

She attended public school in Worcester County. Mrs. Redden was employed by the State Hospital in Trenton, N.J. as a nurse's assistant.

She was a volunteer at the MAC Center and a participant in the Clark Manor Association. She also was a lifetime member of Old Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Pocomoke where she sang in the Senior Choir.

Mrs. Redden is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Noel of Queenstown; two sons, James Bond of Queenstown and William Edward of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Emma M. Hobbs of Pocomoke City; seven grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, William H. Redden, is deceased.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Pocomoke. Friends may call at the church on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Hall's Hill Cemetery, Pocomoke.
