Agnes Georgia Houdek,
daughter of Frank and Mary
Navrat was born in Pilsen,
Kan., February 22, 1895 and
died September 20, 1971 at the
Republic County hospital at the
age of 76 years, 6 months, 28
days.
February 3,1920 she married
George Houdek at Anadarko,
Okla. To this union five children
were born.
She lived in the Munden
community for over 50 years
until ill health the past two
years caused her to move to the
Belle View Manor at Belleville.
She was a member of the
Munden Methodist church and
the WSCS.
Her son, Alvin preceded her
in death January 23, 1960. One
grandson died in September,
1949 and one greatgranddaughter
in July, 1971.
Survivors are: her daughters,
Mrs. Georgia Hudson of
Belleville; Mrs. Pauline Torbert
and husband, Harlan of
Grass Valley, Calif., Mrs.
Evelyn Stauffer and husband,
Dean of Central City, Neb., Mrs.
Anne Hoyt and husband, Bill
of Belleville; two sisters; ten
grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, September 22, 10
a.m. at the United Methodist
church in Munden with the Rev.
Alden Longwell in charge.
Interment was in Ida cemetery
at Munden.
