MICHAEL DEFFENBAUGH

ODELL -- Michael William Deffenbaugh, 54, a carpenter-contractor, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at St. James Hospital in Pontiac. He had been ill for two days.

His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Church. The Rev.James F. Garrahan will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 7 p. m. Sunday and the rosary will be at 9 p.m. at the Watson Funeral Home.

Mr. Deffenbaugh was born in Odell, Oct 4, 1905, a son of Henry and Mary Weber Deffenbaugh. He married Lois Tarrant of Campus in May, 1924.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Michael William Jr., at home; John Robert, Pontiac; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Joann LaDoux, Alexandria, Calif.; Mrs. Ellen Marie Moss, Chicago; several grandchildren; two brothers, M. Sgt. Lloyd, Naples, Italy; and Harry E., Streator; four sisters, Mrs. Elen M. McFarland, Mrs. Phyllis M. Doren and Mrs. Mildred I. Sohm, Chicago; Mrs. Pearl Tock, Dwight. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

He was a member of St. Paul's church.
