"John Jarman was buried the 14th day of the 12th month 1697 (not Dec 14, 1697). The modern reckoning of that date would be 14 Feb 1698. See Julian calendar in use by England and her colonies (and most assuredly by Friends Society) until Sept 1752. See also Penn's Great Laws adopted in 1682 at Chester where the "1st month of the year shall be called March". His wife Margaret died on 26th day of 10th month 1740; the modern reckoning of that date would be 26 Dec 1740; she was buried on the 28th as recorded in Radnor Meeting Minutes." information courtesy findagrave member #47345651

NOTE: The tombstones of John and Margaret Jarman no longer exist, but they are believed to have been buried here where the original Society of Friends Meeting House once stood. The original Meeting House where John Jarman and his family once attended church was built in 1686, but no longer exists. The second (current) Meeting house was built in 1721.
