August 4, 1903 - Carroll Sentinel - Frank Conley died at his home one mile south of town last Friday morning at 8:15. He had been suffering for about ten years with a cancer in the face and this was the direct cause of his death. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's church, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock.
Mr. Conley was born in Ireland in 1846, and came to this country when about four years old. He was married in Missouri and to this union there was born three boys and one girl; the latter died when only eight years old. Mrs. Conley died at Kansas City in 1888.
In 1893 Mr. Conley, with his three boys, came to Carroll county and located on a farm near Glidden. At the time of his death they lived on the Hoffman place south of town. The three sons, John, Ben and Frank, will still make that their home.
