Darlene Bitton Draper Poole was born May 5, 1923 in Riverside, ID and passed away in Bingham Memorial Hospital on October 18, 2013. She is the daughter of John W. Bitton and Althea Bingham Bitton.
Darlene graduated from Moreland High School in 1941 where she had enjoyed participating in music and played basketball.

On June 17, 1941 she was married to her sweetheart, Arvel Marion Draper, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have one daughter, Patricia (Roland) Ogden, Lance A. Draper (preceded her in death), Larry B. Draper (Deborah) and David O. Draper (Nancy). They have eighteen grandchildren and forty-seven great grandchildren.

Darlene was active in Lady Lions in her younger years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various callings but deeply loved working with the Primary children in the Blackfoot Third Ward and in the stake primary as secretary. She enjoyed singing in the Church choir and with various groups, lending her beautiful alto voice to the music.

Darlene worked at Kesler's Market for a few years and then First Security Bank for twenty-five years.
Arvel died on November 28, 1997. Darlene married William Ralston Poole on August 19, 1998 and enjoyed his companionship until he passed away on June 10, 2013. Her brothers Virgil, Myron, Ronald, Don and sister Virginia also preceded her in death.

The family wants to express sincere gratitude to the wonderful care givers at The Gables where Darlene lived most recently and Bingham Memorial Hospital where she spent the last four days of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 and again for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery. Everyone who wants to celebrate Darlene's life is welcome.
